It's true.

Besides, no forum should be left empty. Smiley

Hey, Tim.

I am one of the few among us who still uses Windows exclusively.  Does not mean that I will not eventually cross over.  But my work issue notebook is a windows machine.

I am a Windows user.  Tried a Mac (we have some at work so we can support people who use them), and I didn't like it.  Perhaps it is due to the length of time I have used Windows.  I also tried out Linux on my EEE PC before loading XP on it.

I find Windows to be fine for what I need, and perfectly suitable for al of my tasks.

My Dad doesn't like Mac or Windows, and I'm not sure he'd like *nix either. He's crotchety when it comes to computers.

I think he misses the old DOS days. ;-)

Yah, I use Windows at work...and a big chunk of my consultant work is on Windows machines.

That said, I tried to be specific about "preferring" Windows. Smiley

The truth is, if my Macs and Ubuntu boxes were both magically whisked away, I'd be content in Windows.

After all, Solitaire kicks ass.

I pretty much use windows exclusively now, mainly because of work.  I still have an older iBook, but to be honest I've gotten so used to windows and have to use it 9 to 5 so I just don't really bother with the Mac anymore.

If I had a choice though... I'd probably be using BeOS.  I used it almost exclusively when I was in college and loved it.  Seriously.  I wish Apple would have bought them, they instead with with Next, got Steve back and the rest is history.

I tried a Mac years ago at uni for about one class. I'm so used to Windows and know how to use it, I have it all set up how I want it, know exactly what apps I prefer, etc. that I just don't want to spend my time learning anything new. Plus there is the cost. I mostly do just typing, browsing and maintaining a blog on my PC nowadays - I can't justify double figure laptops for that.
