Most people have come across Backpack from 37Signals. But with the recent change to have multiple users per account, the game has changed with Backpack.
One of the key ways that I'm using Backpack is for managing lists that are relevant to both my wife and me. Chief among theses is our shopping list. We keep a page called Shopping List that has individual pages for the various places we shop. We can both add things to the list when we notice they're needed, and either of us can access the page when we're out shopping and mark off items.
Is anyone else using Backpack? I think the move to have multiple users makes Backpack into more of an intranet and collaboration service than ever before and has huge implications for anyone that has to work together from families to companies.

I'm currently managing most of lists in Toodledo, which also has a sharing feature (though only for pro users). I'm especially interested in using this to collaborate with my wife as well...I haven't done much research on Backpack; it's much more than a list management tool, isn't? How else are you using BP?

Princess Bethany and I used the shared calendar on Backpack for our main calendar. It has been a godsend for us especially as we are now both juggling our individual client work and Beatrix.
I have tried to get her a little bit deeper and start sharing lists (like shopping) but we have not gotten that far yet. I will mention it to her again using your example.

My wife uses Backpack with her business partner and assistant for their real estate biz (okay, it was my idea). They dcreate a page for each property and buyer they work with, then post all their files and check off lists for showings. They love it, and I feel like an IT genius for suggesting it. It saves them so much time, not having to call back to the office to get details or look up a paper file. I just need to convince them to use it more with their Blackberries. Some company tried to sell us a real estate specific system for tracking business, and it didn't hold a candle to our hacked up system on Backpack, plus it costs less than half as much.

I'm a huge 37signals fan and have been using Backpack for a couple of years now. I've just changed jobs (this year is all about simplifying my life) and am working as part of a virtual team. I've started using BP to pull all of the assets together for different projects, especially business pitches. I also use it personally for shopping, helping friends with ideas and now - house shopping. I put all of the pictures, details and notes from all of the places I see, so I can keep track and compare.
I'm loving both the newsroom feature and the journal so we can keep track of what's getting done without constant interruptions.

I'm a huge 37Signals fan as well and have been using Backpack since it's debut. I'm an animation director on a 3d animated kids show and we use Backpack to track all facets of our production. We also use it to keep track of our shot notes and communication between the animators on the show. It's an amazing tool for both personal and collaborative work! We're also looking to adding Campfire to the mix.

I use Campfire and it's been great to capture conversations - again - without having to interrupt everyone.

http://www.Gtdagenda.com also has a sharing feature, you can share both a context or a project. A shopping list is probably better suited as a context.
